Tianjin Polytechnic University


Tianjin Polytechnic University (TJPU) is designated medium risk as it is authorised to conduct defence research.

TJPU is known for its research in the field of textile science and engineering. It is jointly supervised by the Ministry of Education and the city of Tianjin. In 2018, defence industry agency SASTIND and the Tianjin Municipal Government signed an agreement to jointly support TJPU. Tianjin Polytechnic University hosts one state key lab and two MOE key labs. Defence and security links

Noteworthy international collaborations

In 2017, TJPU signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of South Africa to initiate and develop cooperation on joint research.
